Guidelines to an intro:

1) Referrals are you best chance.

2) Use Linkin, Facebook and Twitter to work your way to your goal. Don’t underestimate the power of your existing network. You may have to do favors or buy lunches to get to the next step on the ladder.

3) Keep email intros short (a few sentences), get to the point, what’s your offer and why do you think their fund is right for you. If you get a response, they’ll probably ask for an executive summary.
