FoundersList Podcast

Posted by Philip Camilleri on June 7, 2020. Last updated 5 years ago.

It’s barely been 5 months since I launched FoundersList, but the amount of interest from founders, entrepreneurs and folks connected to the space, has been overwhelming and completely humbling.

As any startup founder can attest, the earliest days (months, and sometimes years!) of a startup are amongst the toughest. But receiving feedback from users, particularly hearing success stories from users of the site, truly helps with those tougher and sometimes difficult moments when things don’t go as planned.

Even more so, connecting with other founders and entrepreneurs who also want to be part of the FoundersList journey is truly inspiring. And that is how I came to know Christopher Kim.

Chris has been involved with startups (big and small) for several years now, and while I enjoy building things and coding, Chris is great (among many other things) at connecting with people and engaging founders. So we decided to take those skills and see whether we can pull together a Podcast to further help connect and showcase founders and entrepreneurs, and their struggles and successes.

It is therefore with great pleasure that today, we are officially launching the FoundersList Podcast with Christopher Kim.

I must admit to feeling rather overwhelmed when Chris emailed me one evening last week and said Episode 0 was up on Spotify: seeing the FoundersList logo on Spotify made things look real. And I know this is probably trivial and insignificant in most peoples’ minds, but these small steps and little bits of progress all add up in the long run.

So firstly, many many thanks to Chris, for all the hard work that has gone into making this podcast a reality. As my fellow West-coast founders would say, I am super-stoked to listen to the pilot Episode of the FoundersList Podcast, and to help grow this into a truly incredible resource for early stage founders and entrepreneurs.

Our first two episodes this week are with Amber Christian and Victor Marks. In Episode 1, Amber talks about how she went from software sales to founding a software company, bootstrapping, continuous integration, and selling into enterprise as a startup.  While in our 2nd Episode, Victor Marks discusses how to find product/market fit, what it’s like to run a hardware startup, and provides a compelling argument that success can be defined in ways that aren’t necessarily about the money.

Besides Amber and Mark, we’re also excited to have some podcast interviews lined up with Sean Sheppard from Growthx, James Mulvany from Podcast.co, Gaetano DiNardi from Nextiva, Richard Lau from Logo.com, Asra Nadeem from Draper University, Matt Bieber from JCSI, and Therese Gedda of 30minMBA.

Finally...

As always here at FoundersList, we love to hear from our users (and listeners): please let us know what you think (the good, the bad, and the ugly). We want to ensure whatever we produce is useful and helpful along your startup journey. And of course, if you have any suggestions for topics to cover in the podcasts, or guests to interview, please shoot us a note via the contact page or email podcasts@founderslist.com.
